Patna : World No 18 Andrey Rublev, 22, Russia, won his second title in as many weeks on January 18, 2020, defeating World No 91 Lloyd Harris, 22, South Africa, in the final of Adelaide International at Adelaide, Australia, in straight sets.
Third seed Rublev, who had won Qatar Open title on January 11, 2020, crushed Harris 6-3, 6-0 in only 56 minutes in final to lift the men’s singles title at Adelaide International, an ATP 250 rankings points event.
The Russian won 4 break points in the match to none by the South African. He also won 7 games in a row in the match. The Russian won 35 service points in the match to 20 by Harris. But, the South African fired 8 Aces in the match to 4 by the Russian. Rublev’s winning percentage both on his first and second serve ( 81 % & 62%) was much higher than that of Harris ( 48% % 43 %). Rublev had defeated 2nd seed and World No 22 Felix Auger-Aliassime, 19, Canada, in semi-finals on January 17.
