Patna: Deputy chief minister Tejeshwi Yadav on Saturday reviewed the status of roads damaged due to recent floods and said Rs 97 crore was needed for immediate repair of the roads and Rs 491 crore would be required for reconstruction of the damaged roads later. The state government is yet to prepare an estimate of loss caused due to floods.
Tejeshwai, who held a meeting with officials of Road construction department, which he heads, and managing directors of road and bridge construction corporations, said roads in Bhojpur, Buxar, Samastipur, Vaishali, Saran, Jehanabad,Bhagalpur and Rohtas have suffered the worst during the floods. Reviewing the progress of ongoing flyovers and bridges in the state capital, Tejeshwi suggested the Mithapur-Karbigahiya, Chiryatatand -Station Road and R Bloc fly- overs construction should be completed on schedule.
