Patna : Rajasthan Royals (RR) made 125/9 in 20 overs against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the fourth match of IPL at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad, on April 9, 2018, night, with wicketkeeper Sanju Samson scoring 49 in 42 balls with 5 fours. RR captain and opener Ajinkya Rahanae was out for 13. Shreyas Gopal made 18 and Rahul Tripathi 17. Star all rounder Ben Stokes made only 5. No RR batsman could hit a six in the match. Both the teams are playing their first match in IPL 2018.

For SRH, pacer Siddharth Kaul took 2/17 in 4 overs while spinner Shakib Al Hasan took 2/23 in 4 overs. Leg spinner Rashid Khan, and pacers Bhuvaneshwar Kumar and Billy Stanlake took one wicket each. Two Rajasthan Royal batsmen : D Arcy Short and Jaydev Unadkat were run out. SRH won the toss but opted to bowl first.
