Patna :  Rajasthan Royals (RR) beat Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by 3 wickets in the 43rd match of IPL-12 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, on April 25, 2019, night, with Jofra Archer scoring an unbeaten 27 in 12 balls hitting 2 fours and 2 sixes and Riyan Parag, 17, scoring 47 in 31 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes. Replying to KKR’s 175/6 in 20 overs, RR scored 177/7 in 19.2 overs. RR had won the toss but opted to bowl.

This was RR’s 4th win in 11 matches and they have now 8 points. KKR also have 8 points from 11 matches.

RR had lost the wickets of Ajinkya Rahane (34), Sanju Samson ( 22), captain Steven Smith ( 2), and Ben Stokes (11) with only 78 runs on the board. But , Riyan Parag steadied the innings with Stuart Binny (11)  and Shreyas Gopal (18). Parag added 44 runs with Jofra Archer. For KKR, Piyush Chawla took 3/20 in 4 overs while Sunil Narine took 2/25. Andre Russel took 1/32 in 3 overs. Prasidha Krishna took 1/43 in 3.2 overs.

Batting first, KKR had scored 175/6 with captain Dinesh Karthik scoring an unbeaten 97 in 55 balls hitting 7 fours and 9 sixes.
