Saharsa : IG, RPF, East Central Railway (ECR), Hajipur, Ravindra Kumar Verma on February 11 said that henceforth RPF jawans including females too would provide security to passengers on trains running under the five divisions of the zone.
Verma, who was visiting Saharsa railway station under Samastipur division of the zone for the first time, said the presence of RPF jawans on running trains would also check incidents of theft. He said the railway has accorded top priority to security of passengers. Verma said that the RPF was trying to identify trains targeted by thieves. Verma was welcomed at Saharsa railway station by RPF Commandant, Samastipur division, Vijay Prakash Pandit and RPF Inspector Arjun Prasad Yadav.
