Rohtas police arrest 3 persons for setting afire 2 jeeps, attacking Imadpur PS in Bhojpur

Sasaram : Rohtas police on January 24, 2019, arrested three persons for allegedly setting afire two police jeeps and attacking Imadpur police station in Bhojpur district in the wee hour on January 23, 2019. Some other disturbing elements are being identified. An FIR had been lodged with Imadpur police station in Bhojpur district on the statement of the SHO, Karakat police station in Rohtas district, Dani Prasad Yadav, in this connection.

Rohtas SP Satyaveer Singh said that the SHO, Karakat police station, escaped instead of taking the injured to the hospital. He said that inquiry has been ordered into the matter and added action might be taken against the Station House Officer, Karakat police station, Dani Prasad Yadav, for dereliction of duty after inquiry report comes.

Rohtas SP Satyaveer Singh and Bhojpur SP Aditya Kumar said that joint operation has been launched against the miscreants for setting afire police jeeps and attacking Imadpur police station and no one would be spared.

Irate villagers had set ablaze two police jeeps and also attacked Imadpur police station on January 22, 2019, after three persons were dashed and injured by a Rohtas police jeep while chasing liquor smugglers. Rohtas police had to take shelter on the Imadpur police station campus. Police had to fire in the air to disperse the unruly mob.
