RJD’s Muzaffarpur bandh call evokes good response

Patna : The RJD’s call for Muzaffarpur bandh on July 21, 2018, to protest what it called continued deterioration in law and order as well as sexual exploitation of several girls of Balika Griha evoked mixed good response as Muzaffarpur town looked deserted during the bandh.
It may be mentioned here that former deputy CM and RJD leader Tejasvi Yadav has decided to start Cycle Yatra across the state to protest rising crime graph. His party has started
agitation over it at district level. In this series, the party had given call for Muzaffarpur
bandh on July 21.
The RJD activists were seen on roads with banners and posters in their hands enforcing band since July 21 morning. All business establishments and shops had downed their shutters. Roads remained deserted while vehicles remained off roads.
Muzaffarpur district administration had made elaborate arrangements to tackle any untoward incident during the bandh. Policemen were deployed at every corner of the city. Senior officers were deputed at several places to ensure the bandh supporters did not indulge in violence. SSP, Muzaffarpur, is herself monitoring the situation while STF jawans are patrolling in the city.
The movement of vehicles on Muzaffarpur -Patna NH was also affected due to the bandh. Several long distance vehicles remained stranded at different several places.
