Patna : The RJD will stage rallies across Bihar on November 8, 2017, the day when PM Narendra Modi had announced demonetisation in 2016. RJD Chief Lalu Prasad on October 23, 2017, said that the rallies will be held across the state on November 8 to protest the alleged failure of the step taken by the Modi government.
The RJD will ask the BJP what the common people gained from the demonetisation, Lalu said. The demonetisation had wreaked havoc on small traders and lakhs of people were forced to stand for hours in queues outside banks to get their old notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 denomations exchanged, Lalu maintains.
