Patna : The Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) on March 22, 2019, announced the seat sharing arrangements among its constituents in Bihar for the 2019 Lok Sabha (LS) polls.
The RJD and Congress will contest 20 and 9 seats respectively while Rashtriya Lok Samata Party (RLSP) headed by former Union Minister Upendra Kushwaha has been allotted 5 seats and HAM (S) headed by former CM Jitan Ram Manjhi gets three seats. The Vikassheel Insaaf Party too has been allotted 3 seats.
The CPI (ML) will get one seat from the RJD quota. The candidates of Loktantrik Janata Dal of former Union Minister Sharad Yadav will contest on the RJD symbol. The Congress Party, which was earlier insisting on 11 seats, finally accepted 9 seats out of the 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar.
