Ara : Bhojpur police, on a tip off, arrested a miller, Madhusudan Tiwari of Bhadesara and owner of Mahavir Mini Rice Mill under Jagdishpur police station, on September 6, 2017, in connection with embezzlement of paddy worth Rs 70 lakh. Tiwari was forwarded to jail.

SHO, Jagdishpur police station, Baijnath Chaudhary said that he got information that Madhusudan Tiwari had taken shelter at village Charpokhari under the same police station. He along with other police personnel went there and with the help of his Charpokhari counterpart arrested Madhusudan Tiwari from Charpokhari on September 6.

The SHO said that Bihar State Food and Civil Supply Corporation had given paddy worth about Rs 70 lakh to miller Madhusudan Tiwari, owner of Mahavir Mini Rice Mill, in 2015 and the miller had to return rice but the miller did not return rice and disappeared from the scene instead. Then on the direction of the then Bhojpur DM Birendra Prasad Yadav, the District Manager, SFC, had lodged a named FIR against the miller in connection with embezzlement of Rs 70 lakh and since then he was absconding.
