Sitamarhi. :  Recovery of  body of a retired Block Education Officer (BEO) Ram Ekbal Chaudhar, 70, from his house at village Behta under Choraut police station in Sitamarhi District in North Bihar by police on March 22, 2021, has created  sensation in the area.

Choraut police in Sitamarhi District recovered the body of Ram Ekbal Chaudhary, from his house under ward-5 at village Behta in the wee hours on March 22, 2021. The police suspect this was an act of thieves. The deceased  Ram Ekbal Chaudhary might have recognised a few of them that could have led to his murder, said police sources. Police are probing the incident from different angles. None has been arrested in this connection so far.

The villagers said after his retirement, Chaudhary  was residing at his village. They  rubbished the theft story saying several boxes were found intact. They villagers appeared concerned over deterioration in law & order in the district.
