Patna : Sunit Kumar, a retired DG and an IPS officer of 1980 batch, was on March 23, 2017, appointed Chairman of Bihar Police Sub-ordinate Service Commission by the governor. Varun Kumar Sinha, a retired IPS officer of 2002 batch, has been appointed Member Secretary of the Commission.
Anwar Hussain, a retired IPS officer of 1998 batch, and A K Prasad, an Indian Forest Service officer of 1988 batch and Chief Forest Conservator, have been appointed members of the commission. All of them will have a tenure of three years. Prasad will hold the post of member of the commission in addition to his existing responsibility. The Home ( Police) issued a notification to this effect on March 23 itself.
