Patna : The COVID-19 cases rose to 1,47,658 on September 6, 2020, as 1,797 more persons including 214 from Patna, 151 from Araria, 89 from Bhagalpur, 86 from Purnia, 76 from Supaul 68 from Madhubani, 65 from Lakhisarai, 63 from Muzaffarpur, 61 from Saharsa, and 60 from Aurangabad tested positive to it on September 5, 2020.
According to State Health Department figure, 61 persons from Saharsa, 60 from Aurangabad, 54 persons from West Champaran, 50 from Madhepura, 49 from Gopalganj, 44 from East Champaran, 44 from Rohtas, 44 from Sitamarhi, 36 from Darbhanga, 35 from Begusarai, and 31 from Siwan also tested positive to COVID-19 on September 5, 2020. The state has tested 40,22,766 COVID samples till date including 1,51,033 on September 5, 2020.
Of the 1,47,658 COVID cases reported in the state so far, a total of 1,30,300 patients have been declared cured/discharged including 1,924 during last 24 hours with the recovery rate being 88.24%. The number of active cases in the state was 16,603 on September 6, 2020.
The COVID-19 death toll increased to 754 in the state on September with four new deaths being reported from different places including one each from Bhagalpur, Begusarai, Madhubani, and Bhojpur.
