Patna : Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) scored 167/7 in 20 overs against Mumbai Indians (MI) in the 31st match of IPL this years at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru, on May 1, 2018, night, due to brilliant bowling by MI bowlers particularly allrounder Hardik Pandya, his brother Krunal Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah.

For RCB, opener Manan Vohra was the top scorer with 45 in 31 balls hitting 2 fours and 4 sixes while Brendon McCullum, New Zealand, was run out for 35 in 25 balls with 4 fours and 2 sixes. RCB captain Virat Kohli made 32 in 26 balls with 2 fours and a six. Opener Quinton de Kock made 7 while Mandeep Singh made 14 with a four and a six. Colin de Grandhomme made a quickfire unbeaten 23 in 10 balls with 3 sixes. The 7th RBC fell when the score was 143.

Asked to bat first by MI, who won the toss, RCB made a decent start.They their first wicket at 38, second at 62 and the third when the score was 121. But,in the 18th over bowled by Hardik Pandya, RCB two wickets in theĀ  including that of captain Virat Kohli when the score was 139 and another one at 141.

Hardik Padya who had given 26 runs in his first two overs took three wickets in his third over giving away just two runs. Hardik Pandya took 3/28 in three overs. Although his elder brother Krunal Pandya did not get take any wicket but he gave away just 24 runs in his 4 overs while Bumrah took 1/22 in 4 overs. MItchell McClenaghan took 1/34 in 4 overs. Spinner Mayank Markande took 1/28 in 3 overs.

In reply, MI were 5/1 with opener and wicketkeeper Ishan Kishan getting out to Tim Southee.
