Patna : Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) crushed Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by 82 runs in the 28th match of IPL 2020 at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Sharjah, UAE, on October 12, 2020, with AB deVilliers playing an explosive unbeaten knock of 73 in 33 balls hitting 5 fours and 6 sixes and opener Aaron Finch scoring 47 in 37 balls hitting 4 fours and 1 six. Captain Virat Kohli remained unbeaten on 33 in 28 balls with just 1 four while opener Devdutt Padikkal scored 32 in 23 balls with 4 fours and 1 six.
Opting to bat after winning the toss, RCB scored 194/2 in 20 overs. AB de Villiers and Kohli added 100 runs in their unbroken partnership for the 3rd wicket as KKR bowlers including fast bowler Pat Cummins proved ineffective. RCB scored 194/2 in 20 overs.
