Patna : Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) defeated Rajasthan Royals (RR) by 7 wickets in the 43rd match of IPL at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai, UAE, on September 29, 2021, late night, as all-rounder Glenn Maxwell scored an unbeaten 50 in 30 balls hitting 6 four and 1 six and Srikar Bharat (wk) scored 44 runs in 35 balls with 3 fours and 1 six. RCB had won the toss and opted to bowl. Yuvvendra Chahal was named Player Of The Match.

Captain Virat Kohli was run out for 25 runs in 20 balls with 4 fours due to a brilliant effort by Riyan Parag. RCB have now 14 points from 11 games while RR have 8 points from 11 games.

Chasing a target of 150 runs, RCB scored 153/3 in 17.1 overs with their openers Virat Kohli ( captain) and Devdutta Padikkal adding 48 runs for the first wicket. Padikkal fell to fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman for 22 runs in 17 balls with 4 fours. Srikar Bharat (wk) also fell to Mustafizur Rahman.

Batting first, RR had scored 149/9 in 20 overs with opener Evin Lewis scoring 58 runs in 37 balls with 5 fours and 3 sixes. His opening partner Yashsasvi Jaiswal scored 31 runs in 22 balls with 3 fours and 2 sixes. RCB fast medium medium bowler Harshal Patel took 3/34 in 4 overs, all three wickets in last over.  Spinner Yuzvendra Chahal took 2/18 in 4 overs.
