Patna : With the appointment of 1993 batch IPS officer Sunil Kumar Jha as the ADG, State Vigilance Investigation Bureau, on December 31, 2017, 1984 batch DG rank IPS officer Ravindra Kumar, who was holding additional charge of DG, State Vigilance Investigation Bureau, has automatically been relieved of his additional responsibility.
Ravindra Kumar was promoted to the rank of DG on August 1, 2015, and appointed DG cum Civil Defence Commissioner. He was given additional charge of DG, Vigilance. Before his promotion to the DG rank, Ravindra Kumar was ADG, Vigilance Investigation Bureau. The Vigilance Investigation Bureau has a sanctioned cadre post of ADG only. The bureau never had both DG and ADG posted together there, according to a Home (police) Department note.
