Raonic, Agut, Paire enter 4th round of Wimbledon Championships

Patna : World No 22 Roberto Bautista Agut, 31, Spain, beat World No 8 and 10th seed Karen Khachanov,23, Russia,  in straight sets at All England Club, London, UK,  on July 5, 2019, to enter the 4th round of Wimbledon Championships for the third time in his career.

Agut beat Khachanov 6-3, 7-6, 6-1 in the 3rd round in a major upset in the tournament winning 3 break points and 5 games in a row in the match.  Khachanov fired 9 Aces in the match to 4 by Agut. Agut had reached quarter-finals of Australian Open in 2019. Khachanov had reached 4th round of Wimbledon in 2018. Khachanov had reached QFs of French Open this year.

World No 17 Milos Raonic, 28, Canada, a 2016 Wimbledon finalist, beat World No 63 Reilly Opelka, 20, USA, 7-6, 6-2, 6-1 in the third round to advance to the 4th round. Both the players fired 13 Aces each in the match. Raonic, however, won 4 break points besides winning 7 games in a row in the match. The Canadian won 62 service points to 49 by the American.

World No 32 Benoit Paire, 30, France, beat World No 124 Jiri Vesely, 25, Czech Republic, 5-7, 7-6, 6-3, 7-6 to enter the 4th round of the tournament. Both the players won 1 break point each. Paire fired 19 Aces in the match to 18 by Vesely. Both tbe players won 3 games each in a row in the match.
