Ranveer, Sara Ali Khan starrer film ” Simmba” grosses over Rs 219 cr in 16 days

Patna : Rohit Shetty directorial film ‘Simmba” starring Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan, daughter of noted actor Saif Ali Khan, has done a business of over Rs 219 crore in India in first 16 days since its release on December 28, 2018, across  the country. It has become Ranveer Singh’s biggest solo hit. It is, however, now facing tough competition from ” The Accidental Prime Minister” starring Anupam Kher and Akshay Khanna and ” Uri: The Surgical Strike” starring Vicky Kaushal.

Simmba is the story of a corrupt police officer Sangram Bhalerao, who later has a dramatic change of heart. It is out and out a Rohit Shetty film full of action and stunts. Ajay Dvgan and Akshay Kumar have made special appearance in the film. ‘Simmba’ has become third film of Rohit Shetty to enter Rs 200 crore club.
