New Delhi : Rajiv Jain, former Director of Intelligence Bureau (IB),on June 2, 2021, joined as a Member of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), India. He was born on March 17, 1957.
Prior to this, he was the Director of the Intelligence Bureau. He had been an officer of the 1980 batch of Indian Police Service ( IPS) from Jharkhand cadre., according to an NHRC release. Jain is a recipient of President’s Police Medal and other awards. He has served in various districts of Bihar and Jharkhand and other places in India and abroad. While in the Intelligence Bureau, he dealt with a plethora of issues having a bearing on national security.Â
