Patna : It was a day of political turmoil in Bihar with JD(U) expelling Industry Minister Shyam Rajak from the party for anti-party activities and RJD expelling three MLAs for anti-party activities. The RJD MLAs expelled from the party are : Gaighat MLA Maheshwar Prasae Yadav, Patepur MLA Prema Chaudhary, and Keoti MLA Faraz Fatmi.
State JD(U) president Vashistha Narain Singh, MP, expelled Rajak, JD(U) MLA from Phulwarisharif assembly constituency in Patna District, after suspending him from the primary membership of the party. Rajak has been representing Phulwarisharif constituency since 1995. Rajak has also been sacked from the State Cabinet.
Rajak, according to sources, was planning to join the RJD as he was not sure of being re-nominated by the JD(U) from Phulwarsharif constituency. The JD(U) is likely to field Arun Manjhi from there.
