Patna : Shooter Rahi Sarnobat, 27, Kolhapur, Maharashtra, India, won Gold Medal in women’s 25 metre Air Pistol shooting event at the 18th Asian Games at Jakarta Palembang, Indonesia, on August 22, 2018. She is first Indian woman to win a Gold Medal in shooting in Asian Games for the country. Ace shooter Manu Bhaker, 16, was eliminated in the 5th round. It was India’s fourth medal at on going Asian Games.

She had won Bronze Medal in the same event in 2014 Asian Games at Incheon, South Korea. Sarnobat had won Gold Medal in 25 metre Air Pistol at 2014 Commonwealth Games (CWG) at Glasgow, UK, besides winning Gold Medal in 25 metre pistol pairs at 2010 CWG in Delhi.
