Patna : World No 150 Sumit Nagal, 23, India, stunned World 22 Cristian Garin, 24, Chile, in straight sets in 2nd round on March 4, 2021, to reach the men’s singles quarter-finals of ATP Argentina Open at Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Qualifier Nagal beat 2nd seed Cristian Garin 6-4, 6-3 in Round of 16 in 1hr 42 minutes. The Indian won 7 break points during the match to 4 by the Chilean. Nagal also won 4 games in a row in the match to 2 by Garin. Nagal, in all, won 76 points during the match to 61 by Garin. The Chilean committed 5 double faults to 3 by the Chilean.
