Pvt firm employee shot at in broad daylight at Ara

Ara  :  Some unidentified persons shot at and injured an employee of a private company Punit Srivastava in the afternoon on June 20, 2017, near Mission School under Nawada police station, Ara, and escaped unchallenged.

Police admitted him to Ara Sadar Hospital but the doctors there referred him to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) in view of his serious condition. The reason behind the incident is still to be ascertained. An FIR has been lodged with Nawada police station but no arrest has so far been made in this regard.

SHO Nawada police station Neyaz Ahamad said that Punit Srivastava, son of Sri Krishna Srivastava of Itawa village under Shahpur police station, lives in at Karmantola locality under Nawada police station. He works in a private company in New Delhi. He had come to Ara on leave and had gone near overbridge in the afternoon on June 20 when some unidentified armed persons shot at him from point blank range and escaped.
