Motihari:  The police are yet to arrest the criminals who shot at and injured a private firm employee Pawan Kumar, 55, in abortive bid to loot his bag containing Rs 3 lakh on Wednesday night. Pawan works for a Muzaffarpur based cloth firm.

The armed criminals tried to loot Rs 3lakh from Pawan Kumar near  Motihari telephone exchange
on Town police station  road. Pawan was going toa  railway station  on three  wheeler  after collecting the money  from retail  shop keepers. As soon as  he reached near  telephone exchange,  criminals riding two
bikes stopped the  three wheeler  and  tried to snatch the  bag from Pawan but he resisted after which criminals opened fire at him. Pawan received bullet injury  in his  hand but he ran  away
towards  station  and foiled  the loot bid. DSP, Motihari, Pankaj Rrawat said has  the Town police
registered a case  against unidentified persons in this regard  and  case was under investigation. Pawan has been admitted to a private nursing home.
