Ara: Though the Veer Kuer Singh University(VKSU), Ara,  administration has announced date of filling of examination forms till June 30 and date of joint entrance examination on July 12 for 1,400 seat in B.Ed colleges under the university, holding of joint entrance test for B.Ed session 2016-2018 appears uncertain after the directors and principals of private B.Ed colleges moved Patna High Court against joint entrance examination.A delegation of private B Ed colleges met Vice-Chancellor (VC), VKSU, Leela Chand Sah, and informed him about their decision to move the court.

The VC said that process for joint entrance examination started last year after the office of the chancellor issued ordinance in this regard. Last year, the private B.Ed college administration took admission without joint entrance examination after the HC allowed them on the plea that the session was late. But this time, the session was not late but the VC said that he had to wait for the the order of the court.

The VC said that admission in constituent and private B.Ed colleges was to be taken through joint entrance examination and the office of the chancellor has fixed the fees for the purpose. The students have to pay Rs 53,000 in the first year and Rs 42,000 in the second year and an additional Rs 5,000 for skill development which had to be returned after the examination. On the other hand, the private B.Ed colleges charge Rs 15 lakh from each student hence not in favour of joint entrance examination.

The VC said that the VKSU announced result for the BA Part III within 35 days of examination on Friday. The VKSU is the second university after Patna University in Bihar that maintains academic session. He said altogether 60,000 students had appeared at the examination. He asked all the Principals of colleges under the VKSU to collect results and marks- sheets of students and distribute the same among them and if any error is detected, inform the university and get the same rectified.
