Patna : Bihar Governor cum Chancellor Fagu Chauhan on November 24, 2021, appointed Prof R K Singh as the Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Patliputra University (PPU), Patna, and Prof Sanjay Kumar as the Pro- VC of Nalanda Open University ( NOU), Patna, after holding discussion with the state government on on the basis of recommendations of the Search Committee.
The tenure of the new VC of Patliputra University and Pro-VC of NOU will be of three years from the date of their assuming charge of the respective office.
Earlier, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar had called on Governor Fagu Chauhan at Raj Bhavan on November 24, 2021, and discussed appointments against these two posts with the latter besides other matters, according to Raj Bhavan sources.
