Bhabhua  : A pregnant woman was allegedly killed by her in-laws at village Saidara under Bhabhua police station in Kaimur district on April 13, 2017, for her failure to bring a buffalo in dowry. A named FIR has been lodged with Bhabhua police station against her husband Sunil Bind, father-in-law Ramhari Bind and mother-in-law Muhari Devi on the statement of her father. Police arrested Sunil Bind and Ramhari Bind.

SHO, Bhabhua police station, Rakesh Kumar Singh said that Ghurahu Bind of village Lohaaraa under Chainpur police station had married his daughter Sunita Devi to Sunil Bind, son of Ramhari Bind of Saidara village under Bhabhua police station, six years ago and ever since her in-laws were torturing her for a buffalo and when their demand was not fulfilled they allegedly poisoned her to death.

Sunita Devi has left behind a two- and- half- year old daughter girl child and was pregnant. Ghuruhu Bind got information about the death of his daughter from his relatives. When he along with two fellow villagers went to Saidara village, none of the family members were not found there, police said.
