Pranoy enters 2nd round of All England Open Badminton

Patna : World Number 10 Badmintor player H S Pranoy, 25, India, upset World Number 7 Chou Tien Chen, Chinese Taipei, 9-21, 21-18, 21-18 on March 14, 2018, night, in the Men’s section of All England Open Badminton Championship 2018 to move into the second round of the event. Chou Tien Chen had won German Open Men’s title recently.

Pranoy will play World Number 25 in the Badminton World Federation (BWF) rankings Tomy Sugiarto, 29,  Indonesia, in the second round on March 15, 2018, night.

All England Open is world’s oldest bandminton tournament and one of the three Super 1000 level tournaments. The other two being China Open and Indonesia Open.
