Pramukh, Bagaha-2 block, Premnath Oraon, kidnapped

Bagaha: Premnath Oraon, Pramukh, Bagaha-2 block in Bagaha Police District, is traceless since July 7, 2018. He has neither returned home nor spoken to his family members since July 7, said his elder brother Vishwanath Oraon of village Dasarthapur under Laukaria police station. Vishwanath Oraon apprehends his brother has been kidnapped allegedly by his rival group.

After failing to submit his complaint to Laukaria police station and Pathakauli Police Outpost, Vishwanath Oroan lodged his compaint to Bagaha SP Arbind Kumar Gupta on July 11, 2018. He has mentioned in his petition that a no trust motion was moved  against Pramukh Premnath Oraon before the BDO Bagaha-2 block on July 3, 2018, and the copy of the same was received by him on  July 5.

The Pramukh went to the block headquarters on July 7 to get details on the matter but has not returned home since then. When he did not return till July 11, a complaint was lodged with the SP, Bagaha. The complainant, in his petition, said that Pramukh Premnath has been kidnapped under a conspiracy with the objective to prevent him from facing the no trust motion. The kidnappers have demanded Rs 5 lakh as ransom for his release, Vishwanath Oraon alleged. SP Gupta said that the petition has been forwarded to Laukaria police station to do the needful.

The complainant has also informed SDM, Bagaha, Ghanshyam Meena, about the incident, apprehending that kidnappers had kept the Pramukh Premnath Oraon in Nepal with two others.
