Patna : Prajnesh Gunneswaran, 29, India, the 2nd seed, advanced to the semi-finals of ATP Challenger at Anning, China, on April 19, 2019, defeating World No 164 Nikola Milojevic, 23, Serbia, in the quarter-finals.
World No 80 and defending champion Prajnesh Gunneswaran beat Milojevic, the 10th seed, 7-5, 6-3 in the QFs in a close contest. Prajnesh had defeated World No 213 and 15th seed Adam Pavlasek, 24 Czech Republic, in the Round of 16.
But, World No 157 Ramkumar Ramnathan, 24, India, lost to World No 130 and 3rd seed Kamil Majchrzak, 23, Poland, in the quarter-finals. Majchrzak beat Ramkumar 6-1, 7-6 to advance to the semi-finals of the tournament.
