Prajnesh enters QFs of ATP Shanghai Challenger in China

Patna : India No 1 and World No 85 Prahnesh Gunneswaran, 29, entered the quarter-finals of ATP Shanghai Challenger in China on September 12, 2019.

Top seed Prajnesh beat World No 254 and 16th seed Goncalo Oliveira, 24, Portugal, in straight sets 6-3, 6-4 in Round of 16. He will face World No 232 Hiroki Moriya, 28, Japan, the 8th seed, in the quarter-finals on September 13, 2019.

World No 218 and 9th seed Enrique Lopez Perez, 28, Spain, defeated World No 170 Steven Diez, 28, Canada, 6-4, 7-5 in Round of 16 to advance to QFs of the event.
