Patna : Railway minister Suresh  Prabhu   flagged  off a new  weekly Champaran  Satyagraha  Express ( 14009-1410  ) between Bapudham Motihari and  Anand Vihar ( Delhi )  on Friday at a function  held at Motihari. This passenger train  was announced in the current rail budget by railway minister. While it will leave Anand Vihar ( Delhi )  every Saturday  for Motihari , it will leave Motihari every Sunday  for Delhi .  

 Prabhu  inaugurated   three road over bridges ( ROBs )  built at Motihari, Begusarai and Danapur through  remote from Motihari. He  also inaugurated  a  full fledged railway station  Piparah under Samastipur division of East Central Railway (ECR).  Railway minister also  flagged  off a passenger train on the newly built broadgauge line between Banmankhi and Purnia   through  remote.  Railways will  run three pairs of passenger trains on this particular route.. Ircon, a sister organization  of railways , has built the three ROBs in Bihar. Railways  maintained  quality control  in construction of these ROBs under the supervision of railway technical experts.

Awareness drive : Railway officials and employees of Danapur  division took out a  railway crossing safety march  at Khagaul on Friday  to create awareness among people about the safety measures to  be followed while crossing manned and unmanned railway gates. Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Danapur, R K Jha led the march along with NCC, Scouts and Guide boys and girls. The march started  from Danapur railway station  at 6 am in the morning for Neora Colony and terminated near the DRM’s office,  said Danapur PRO R K Singh.
