Ara : People living in northern and eastern part of Ara will get power for 23 hours a day soon after supply of power starts from new power sub-station. The new sub-station has been constructed on the campus of Ara office of the South Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited (SBPDCL) and a 10 MVA transformer is being installed there and it will be linked with feeder no 1 at Godana Road.
The residents of Shivganj, Mathia, Sheesh Mahal Chowk, Karman Tola, Gopali Chowk, Sheetal Toal and others will benefit from it and low voltage and voltage fluctuation problems will also be over. Executive Engineer, SBPDCL, Sanjay Kumar Bariyo said that earlier A to Z company was assigned the task of construction of new power sub-station and the work was to be completed in 2014 but the company left the work in the middle and so it is pending. The SBPDCL took over the project in 2016 and the work is nearly complete. He said that people will get rid of prolong power cut, low voltage, frequent power tripping and voltage fluctuation.
