Muzaffarpur : Senior Postal Superintendent, Muzaffarpur Circle, Narsingh Mahto has dismissed the Postmaster of Alinagar Lodhan Post Office in Muzaffarpur district Dipak Kumar in connection with the Money Order scam.
Meanwhile, the CBI has started probe into the alleged irregularities in the appointment of Mail Carriers ( Gramin Dak Sevak) in Muzaffarpur district. Six thousand Gramin Dak Sevak were appointed across the state in the year 2000 of which appoitment of two thousand Gramin Dak Sevak were found fake (only on paper). The Department of Post has so far taken action against 150 Postal employees including six senior officers in this connection.
The involvement of some more senior officers of Department of Post and the education boards concerned will also come to surface soon, said Senior Postal Superintendent Mahto. The CBI is likely to submit chargsheet in several cases shortly, said Mahto.
