Muzaffarpur : Muzaffarpur DM Dharmendra Singh on August 9, 2017, issued directive for the payment of an ex-gratia of Rs 4 lakh each to the kin of the four minor boys whose bodies were recovered from a ditch at village Bhathandi located beside underconstruction Hajipur – Sugauli railway line under Sahebganj block in Muzaffarpur district on August 8, 2017.
The DM ordered for payment of compensation under the provisions of Disaster Management after the post-mortem report said that the four boys had drowned to death. Five minor boys of village Bada Khuseda under Sahebganj block were missing since August 7, 2017, after they went to see Mahaviri Jhanda Mela. The bodies of four of them were recovered from a ditch at Bhathandi under Sahenganj block, but Viccky Kumar, 15, is still missing and police are searching for him.
