New Delhi : With a view to attracting talented sportspersons from all over the country, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports (MYAS) through Sports Authority of India (SAI) had launched the National Talent Search Portal (NTSP) on August 28, 2017. It has been so designed that any sportsperson from across the country can submit online application for admission in any of the SAI Training Centres (STC)/ Special Area Games (SAG)/SAI Extension Centre by uploading his/her profile on the inbuilt format of the portal.

A total of 4, 62,083 sportspersons accessed NTSP and 41 trainees have been selected.  The portal allows access on 24×7 basis to sportspersons who intend to seek admission in SAI Centres. The applications received are scrutinized by the NTSP Cell and eligible applicants are sent to the SAI training centres preferred by them. This information was given by the Minister of State (I/C)  Kiren Rijiju in written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha on July 11, 2019, according to a PIB release.
