Pompeo, Mattis call on PM Modi

New Delhi : US Secretary of State Michael Pompeo and US Secretary of Defence James Mattis called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 6, 2018. They conveyed greetings of President Trump to Prime Minister Modi. The Prime Minister fondly recalled his interactions with President Trump and requested them to convey his greetings to him.

Pompeo and Mattis briefed the Prime Minister on the fruitful and productive 2+2 dialogue held earlier on the day. Prime Minister Modi congratulated both the Secretaries and their Indian counterparts, External Affairs Minister and Defence Minister, for holding of the first 2+2 dialogue between the two countries, according to a PIB release.
