Patna : The political crisis in Madhya Pradesh deepened on March 10, 2020, with the resignation of 19 Congress MLAs from the party. They sent their resignation letters through e-mail to Raj Bhavan.
This followed resignation of Congress heavyweight in Madhya Pradesh Jyotiraditya Scindia, a former Union Minister, from the party on March 9, 2020, over his alleged marginalisation in the state politics. Scindia had earlier also met PM Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Scindia was subsequently expelled from the party by Congress President Sonia Gandhi.
