Jamalpur (Munger) : Policeman, who was aught with a young girl in a room of a hotel in Jamalpur on October 14, 2016,andwas brought to police station for interrogation with the girl, was let off by police on Saturday. SDPO, Munger Sadar, LM Sharma told newsmen here on Saturday the policeman was let off as the guardian of the girl refused to lodge written complaint in this connection.
Police had acted on the verbal complaint of the brother of the girl and had recovered the girl with the policeman who is posted at Patna. Munger SP said that senior police officials have been requested to take disciplinary action against the policeman concerned as his conduct was against the police manual. The girl was allowed to return her home in Munger town.
