Police yet to arrest named accused in Ara trader murder case

Ara : The family members and acquaintances of slain Ara businessman Krishna Kumar Singh alias Kumar Ji are terribly upset over the inordinate delay in arrest of named accused despite lapse of eight days. Kumar Ji was shot dead on July 2, 2017.

Bhojpur SP Khsatranil Singh has sent a special police team under the leadership of Ara Town Police Station SHO J P Singh to arrest of the named accused whose mobile tower location was found somewhere in Raxaul, Patna, Uttar Praadesh and Maharashtra. The police have pasted “Ishtehar” (proclamation) on the wall of the houses of the named accused and have prayed in the court to issue warrant of attachment of their property. The warrant may be issued on July 10.

One of the named accused is Danih Rizwan is a senior HAM(S) leader said to be very influential while another accused Chand Mian and his brother Nayeem Mian have criminal history. Danish Rizwan had to resign from the post of the national spokeperosn HAM (S) after his name figured in the FIR. Danish Rizwan categorically refused his involvement in any conspiracy in the murder of the businessman through Facebook and WhatsApp.

Bhojpur SP said that the accused will not be spared at any cost and the police are conducting raids at every possible hideout and hoped the accused will be arrested very soon. He said seven unnamed miscreants including two women were arrested and sent to jail in this connection and police are also trying to arrest two more unnamed accused Babloo and Budhua who had worked as liner for the accused. He also said that police had conducted raids at Chhapra Siwan on July 8, 2017, after the police got information that Chand Mian had taken shelter there and two police teams are camping at Gopalganj and Siwan. Raids are also being conducted at Patna and other states.

Meanwhile, hundreds of Ara residents, businessmen, family members and acquaintances of the slain businessman took out a protest march on July 9 that passed through the main thoroughfares of the town in protest against failure of police to arrest the named accused. They also demanded CBI inquiry into the matter.

Some motorcycle borne armed persons had pumped at least two dozen bullets into the body of  businessman Krishna Kumar Singh alias Kumar Ji, son of  businessman late Ram Khelawan Singh in Padav locality near Model Institute around 11 am on July 2. A named FIR was lodged with Town Police station, Ara, against 10 persons including senior HAM (S) leader Danish Rijwan, his brothers: Md Shahid and Zamal Asaraf, Munnu Singh, son of Deputy Mayor, Ara Municipal Corporation (AMC) Malati Devi, Indubhan Singh, former Bhojpur district president, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, notorious criminal and one of the main accused in the Ara Civil Court bomb blast Chand Mian and his brother Md Nayeem, on the statement of Mahesh Yadav of Bhaluhipur who was accompanying the deceased at the time of murder.
