Police seize tanker loaded with 5,000 litre of adulterated diesel

Ara : Police, on a tip off, conducted raid at village Sabalpur under Barhara police station in Bhojpur district on April 5, 2018, and seized a mini tanker allegedly loaded with about 5,000 litre of adulterated diesel. Police reportedly arrested the tanker driver.

Jitendra Kumar Singh, a petrol pump owner, said that he and other villagers had complained that adulterated petrol and diesel was being sold in the open illegally. On their complaint, SHO, Barhara police station, conducted raids at village Sabalpur and seized 5,000 liter of adulterated diesel loaded on a mini tanker and also arrested the tanker driver. He alleged that police later released the tanker driver.

Bhojpur SP Awakash Kumar said police, on a tip off, seized a tanker loaded with diesel and now the diesel was being tested by the officials of the department concerned. He said that the persons or gang involved in the business would not be spared at any cost.
