Ara : The Chita Force, on a tip off, arrested two liquor smugglers and seized 566 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) loaded in a car near Samuday Nagar under Nawada police station (PS), Ara, in Bhojpur District in South Bihar, on June 21, 2021, evening.
A named FIR was lodged with Nawada PS under the Prohibition & Excise Act and police sent the two arrested persons to jail after interrogation. Bhojpur SP Rakesh Kumar Dubey said that he got information that IMFL in large quantity was being smuggled to Ara. He at once apprised the Chita Force that conducted raid at Samuday Nagar under Nawada PS and arrested two liquor smugglers.
When a car without registration number parked there was searched, police seized 566 bottles of IMFL, an Alto Car without registration number, and one mobile phone. The arrested liquor smugglers were identified as Rishabh Kumar, son of Dilip Kumar of Tilhar under Azimabad police station, and Amit Kumar, son of Krishna Rajak of Mecharia under Azimabad police station in Bhojpur district.
