Sasaram : Police seized 469 cartons of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) loaded in a truck from near Nasariganj under Darihat police station (PS) under Dehri-on-Sone sub-division in Rohtas District on June 15, 2021, evening, though the liquor smugglers escaped from the spot.
Rohtas SP Ashish Bharati said that during vehicle checking drive, police intercepted a truck coming from Nasariganj. Seeing police, the driver and other liquor smugglers stepped down from the truck and escaped. Police seized the truck and during search, they recovered 469 cartons of IMFL kept beneath the brooms and coconuts loaded on the truck. The SP stated that an FIR has been lodged by police under Prohibition & Excise Act in this connection and police are conducting raids to arrest the liquor mafias and the truck driver.
