Police seize 4,080 bottles of IMFL in Bagaha, 3 smugglers held

Bagaha : A Piparasi police station team in Bagaha police district led by its SHO Sanjiv Kumar, on a tip off, seized 4,080 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) of 180 ml each kept in 24 plastic bags on September 14, 2018, late night, from a sugarcane field at village Muradih Tar tola and arrested three smugglers.

The arrested liquor smugglers were identified as Yogendra Yadav and Dhanesh Yadav of village Mujahida Patiyaria under Padarauna police station in Uttar Pradesh, and Saqur Ansari of Muradih under Piparasi police station in Bagaha police district.

Bagaha SP Arbind Kumar Gupta said that the smugglers were planning to supply the liquor to Bagaha by crossing over river Gandak. Meanwhile, a police team reached there and caught them with the liquor bottles. All the three arrested smugglers were sent to Bettiah district jail on September 15, 2018, the SP said.
