Police seize 330 cartons of IMFL from W Champaran school, 2 smugglers held

Bettiah : Police on February 21, 2019, night, seized 330 cartons of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) from a classroom of  Upgraded Government Middle School, Sugauli, under Shikarpur police station in West Champaran district, and also arrested twoliquor smugglers.

West Champaran SP, Jayant Kant, on a tip off, had alerted SDPO, Narakatiaganj, Nesar Ahmad, about several cartons of IMFL kept in a room of the school. The SDPO along  with a police team carried out a raid at Upgraded Government Middle School, Sugauli, under Shikarpur police station, and seized 330 cartons of IMFL stored in a room of the school and arrested two smugglers.

The arrested smugglers were identified as Suresh  Chaudhary and Domai Paswan. Both the smugglers were sent to Bettiah district jail on February 22, 2019. The SP said that on their confessional statement, other smugglers were being searched and action would be initiated against the Headmaster of the school.
