Police seize 330 bottles of IMFL, 245 lt Spirit from Bhojpur village

Ara  : Police seized 330 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) and 245 litre of Spirit from different places under Barhara police station in Bhojpur district on May 10, 2018,  night. Police also arrested one person in this regard.

SHO, Barhara police station, said that he got information that 5 cartons of IMFL was being smuggled in the vehicle of Bhojpur District Health Samiti. He immediately swung into action and seized 225 bottles of IMFL from a Bolero carrying the name plate of Bhojpur District Health Samiti from village Paiga and also seized the Bolero though the liquor smugglers escaped from the scene.

The SHO said that the Bolero belongs to Munni Yadav of village Paiga and the vehicle was hired by the District Health Society. An FIR has been lodged with Barhara police station against the owner of the vehicle Munni Yadav.

Police also searched the house of Karpuri Sah at village Paiga under Barhara police station and seized 105 bottles of IMFL and arrested Nanhku Sao in this regard. Later,police forwarded him to jail after lodging an FIR against him.

In another incident, police conducted raids at Primary Agriculture Credit Society (PACS) godown at village Jhaua under Barahara police station and seized 245 liters of Spirit. A named FIR has been lodged under Bihia police station against unknown persons but no arrest has so far been made in this connection.
