Police seize 329 bottles of IMFL in Buxar district

Buxar : Police seized 329 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) from two different places in Buxar district on April 22, 2019, though the liquor smugglers fled away from the scene.

Police seized 240 bottles of IMFL packed in 5 cartons near village Jigana  under Sikraul police station. SHO, Sikraul police station, Roshan Kumar, said that he got information that a big consignment of IMFL had reached Rahul Ram of village Jigana  who was trying to smuggle them to another places. Police immediately conducted raids at village Jigana. Seeing police, the liquor smuggler escaped from the scene leaving the consignment behind. Police later seized the 240 bottles of IMFL packed in five cartons. The SHO said that an FIR was lodged by Sikraul police station under the Prohibition and Excise Act and  police are conducting raids to arrest the liquor smuggler.

Police also seized 89 bottles of IMFL hidden in a garden at village Balua under Brahmpur police station on April 22, 2019,  but the liquor smugglers fled away from the spot. An FIR was lodged by Brahmpur police station in this connection and police are conducting raids to arrest the liquor smugglers.
