Ara : Police, on a tip off, conducted raid at the house of Dilip Singh at Balua Tola under Piro police station in Bhojpur district in the wee hour on July 1, 2018, and seized 316 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) but the owner of the house escaped from the scene.
A named FIR has been lodged with Piro police station against Dilip Singh under the Prohibition Excise Act and police are conducting raids to arrest him, said the Piro DSP Reshu Krishna.
In another incident, a named FIR was lodged with Dhobaha Police Outpost on July 1 against five persons : Mukhia Baghako Tetariya panchayat Manish Yadav, his brother Ritesh Yadav of Dhobaha, Kamlesh Yadav, Ravi Yadav and Tunna Yadav of Mani Rai ke Tola in connection with liquor smuggling.
SHO, Dhobaha Police Outpost, Anand Gupta said that police had seized IMFL from the house of Kamlesh Yadav of Mani Rai ke Tola on June 30, 2018, night, and also arrested Kamlesh Yadav though other liquor smugglers succeeded in escaping from the spot. He said that the liquor smugglers procure liquor from a liquor shop in UP and supply it to different areas in Bhojpur district.
