Buxar : Police, on a tip off, seized 2,304 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) from a house under Itadhi police station in Buxar district in the late evening on May 1, 2018. Police also arrested the owner of the house and his wife in this connection and forwarded them to jail.
Buxar SP Abdullah Rahman said that police had received information that Upendra Singh, son of Bechan Singh, was selling IMFL from his house under Itadhi police station. Police immediately conducted raid at his house and seized 2,304 bottles of IMFL packed in 48 cartons kept and inside the lavatory of the house. Police arrested Upendra Singh and his wife Poonam Devi, the SP said.
The SP said that police also seized 5,400 bottles of IMFL under other police stations on May 1 evening.
